Brain Cancer Patient pushing his daughter in a stroller wins Exygon & Baptist Hospitals Gusher Marathon!
A man racing against time crossed the finish line. His daughter, snugly sitting in a stroller he had been pushing for just over 26 miles, gained a memory that may live longer than her father.
"This is supposed to eat away at my memory in the end," Iram Leon said of the cancer in his left temporal lobe. "But I hope this memory is one of the last things to go and one she never loses."

Iram J Leon ran the Exygon & Baptist Hospitals Gusher Marathon, Half Marathon and Kinsel Ford 5K pushing his daughter Kiana in a stroller. Iram has terminal brain cancer. Despite high winds, a stroller, medications to prevent seizures and a flat stroller tire, Iram won the overall full marathon distance with a time of 3 hours and 7 minutes.
Iram borrowed a stroller, lost his iPhone speaker on the course and frankly could use a new computer. Iram has not asked for a dime but with mounting medical bills, we would like to assist him.
Funds raised will go to a college scholarship fund for Iram's daughter, Kiana. All funds raised through 3/22/13 have been reserved for Kiana's college fund.
Some have requested to see if they could provide support for Iram and his daughter's current financial needs. If you would prefer for your monetary contribution to go to Iram now rather than the college fund, please indicate that in your comment or contact us and we will make sure he receives your support immediately. Thank you!
