Kwesi lost his life on May 14th, 2013, at the young age of 21. He died in a swimming accident while on a youth retreat. Although he was young, he was a powerful example of what young people can do when they believe! Kwesi worked and attended Ohio Dominican University, where he played football. He was an active member of both his church community and the African-American Cultural community. He tutored and helped young people through his parents's community centers and was just a GREAT young man! We want to Honor his legacy by creating a Memorial Fund in his Ame. This fund will provide for his untimely expenses, and be an annual scholarship in the community in his name.
Kwesi lived as a model of loving God, community, and life itself. Although his death was untimely, it is NOT insignificant. If we can help another young person to be inspired by his story, his life will not be n vain!
In a day and time when no one wants to be a role model, Kwesi was and IS! Help us keep his name alive and inspire the next generation.
We are asking for any and all donations for this Memorial Fund, there is no donation too small!
Even a $20 donation can help us achieve our goal of $5000. All donations will be acknowledged publicly, unless you ask to be anonymous. Help us honor and salute a young man who was gone too soon, and keep his hopes, dreams and ambitions alive in others in need.
To Raynette, Mama Fran, Kwesi and the family... I love you....
My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to the family. -Susan (CAHS class of '85)
I had the pleasure of meeting Kwesi for a brief moment and he left a lasting impression. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
