STRONGEST SHOUTOUT EVER!!! To my girl, Danielle DeLane, who just donated $75 to my nephew's Memorial Fund!!! God bless you!!!! We are ALMOST HOME!!!!

About This Cause

Kwesi lost his life on May 14th, 2013, at the young age of 21. He died in a swimming accident while on a youth retreat. Although he was young, he was a powerful example of what young people can do when they believe! Kwesi worked and attended Ohio Dominican University, where he played football. He was an active member of both his church community and the African-American Cultural community. He tutored and helped young people through his parents's community centers and was just a GREAT young man! We want to Honor his legacy by creating a Memorial Fund in his Ame. This fund will provide for his untimely expenses, and be an annual scholarship in the community in his name.

Kwesi lived as a model of loving God, community, and life itself. Although his death was untimely, it is NOT insignificant. If we can help another young person to be inspired by his story, his life will not be n vain!

In a day and time when no one wants to be a role model, Kwesi was and IS! Help us keep his name alive and inspire the next generation.

We are asking for any and all donations for this Memorial Fund, there is no donation too small!

Even a $20 donation can help us achieve our goal of $5000. All donations will be acknowledged publicly, unless you ask to be anonymous. Help us honor and salute a young man who was gone too soon, and keep his hopes, dreams and ambitions alive in others in need.

Papa and Mama Hodge have been a blessing to MANY over their 40 years of marriage. Having raised a family and given years of love and stability to them, they have also allowed themselves to be ministers of love to the homeless community, preparing hundreds of free meals each week at numerous shelters throughout the Cleveland area through their non-profit organization, Manna.

Additionally, the Hodges now serve as pre-marital counselors and advisors for newly wed couples at the Word Church. These Deacons have truly committed to a life of God, Faith, Family and Community and are a BLESSING unto everyone who meets them.

I can personally attest to Papa Hodge's generosity as I've seen the elaborate home cooked meals that he not only cooks, but serves with LOVE to the men and women of Cleveland's homeless shelters each and every week, and ESPECIALLY on holidays, when most of us are with our loved ones, Papa Hodge will have you donating some time of your day to the less fortunate, and before you know it, you'll be getting blessed while you're blessing others! That's just the people that they are, and the love that they give!

Also, when I was preparing to move my family to Los Angeles in 2011, I happened to run into Papa Hodge and told him that I was leaving. Although my finances said no, God said Go and Papa Hodge confirmed it by sowing a seed into my life and praying for my family and I...well, we've been here for 2 years now, and I can tell you that there is NOTHING too hard for God!!!

Don't wait to give folks their flowers, Bless them while you can, ESPECIALLY when u see how much of a blessing that they've been to so many others....can you partner with me and sow a see of any amount today?

Let's come together to celebrate Deacons Papa and Mama Hodge!!!! Thank you in advance for your generosity!!!
