On Friday January 17th, 2014 at 8am Danika Garcia was on her way to school when she was hit by a lightrail train. A few hours later, with her family awaiting the news, it was announced that the doctors were unable to save her. She had lost a lot of blood, and there was too much damage to her organs. At only 14 years old and a freshman at Del Mar High School, Danika Tyler Garcia left behind two parents who will never get to tell her to clean up her room again, and a little brother, in only 5th grade, who will never get the chance to annoy his big sister like he's supposed to. The entire family is deeply saddened by the loss of our sweet dear Danika.

Danika was only a child. She was a daughter. A sister. A cousin. A friend. We all know one of those people. Even if you've never lost someone before, I'm sure you could imagine even a fraction of the pain those that love Danika are feeling right now. She was supposed to sing that day. She was rushing as to not be late, so that she could be there to perform for her friends and schoolmates. A beautiful spirit. A beautiful soul. A beautiful voice.
The family will need lots of help and support during this tragic time. Expensive funeral arrangements, lost wages, and grief support will add up quickly.
Any amount will help. Please consider donating and sharing this with anyone else that may be willing and able to help.
Danika, we think about you, your parents, brother, grandma and uncle every day.
Rest In Peace Beautiful Danika
There is a time and a reason for everything. God must have needed another Angel for the choir in Heaven. Peace to everyone in the family and especially her choir friends at DelMar High.
