My adventure to Nepal begins on February 17th when I fly from Austin, Texas, to Kathmandu, Nepal! Yeeeehaw!

My journey will be spent on a rural farm in Gerkhu, Nepal. Together, with my host family, we will be growing corn, millet, rice, potatoes, chilies, cauliflower, and other fruits and vegetables.

Everything we eat at the house will be grown right there on the farm! True sustainable living at its finest.

My journey partners me with Experience Himalayan Nepal.

EHN supports the rural farmers in the foothills of the Himalayas because more and more locals are moving to the city in hope of a better job. Within a few generations these communities will no longer exist unless they evolve.

Introducing new ideas, like volunteer tourism, will help these old-fashioned communities adapt and succeed with modern ways of farming.
