This prompted a family member to create a fundraising campaign to help Christa deal with the financial burden of seeking aggressive treatment for the disease.

During Master Sergeant Saunders' career, he earned 13 medals. Unfortunately, this decorated Marine lost his life while training Infantry Marines. According to NBC12, the Master Sergeant was killed during a helicopter accident, and he is survived by his wife and young son.
