Carlsbad Police Department Explorer Post 781 is dedicated to providing a healthy volunteer youth program, serving our community of Carlsbad and the surrounding communities within San Diego County, while providing an introduction for young adults into the law enfocement profession. Our Advisors strive to be positive role models and mentors with the hope of helping to guide and develop the positive character of the young adults involved in this program.
During the year 2009 our post volunteered over 4,000 hours of service and attended approximately 40 special events for our local communities. Our Explorer Post became one the most active posts in our district. During the year 2010, our post has become a recognized 501 C 3 non-profit. We now are scheduled for more than 50 special events for the year. We issued our first scholarship to the police academy to a worthy explorer. Our training is totally in compliance with our agency as well as Learning for Life and our explorers receive the best training in the Learning for Life district.
