Their Mission Statement

The purpose of Pets Are Worth Saving (PAWS) is to place stray, abandoned, and unwanted shelter animals into desirable loving homes. We work hard to prevent the mistreatment of animals, impede animal over population and encourage responsible pet ownership through education and outreach with the public. PAWS makes every effort to establish and maintain close working relationships with local animal shelters to hopefully one day end euthanasia of adoptable shelter pets.

Summary of Impact

Pets Are Worth Saving (PAWS) was formed exclusively to network for and save the lives of unwanted pets at our local animal shelter in Southern, CA. We also wish to educate the public and prospective dog owners that shelter dogs are not disposable, and they are indeed worth saving. PAWS reaches out to the community by volunteering at the local animal shelter, our website, other community websites, veterinary offices, participation in local community events and pet adoption events at the local Petco.
