HomeAid Americas mission is to build and maintain dignified housing where homeless families and individuals can rebuild their lives. We operate through 15 active chapters. Over the past 23 years, HomeAid has become the largest provider of housing for the temporarily homeless in America. We have completed more than 300 facilities across the country totaling 1,275,000 square feet of space and costing in excess of $180 million. More than 160,000 people have now been served in HomeAid-built facilities. We currently have 27 additional projects in various stages of development. HomeAid builds through the generosity of Americas homebuilders and their trade partners and suppliers. Once completed, our facilities are gifted to service providers such as Volunteers of America, Mercy House, and various Rescue Missions around the country. To date, approximately 50 percent of the total cost of our facilities has been donated by the building industry. All of our work is done at the chapter level.
