The Regional Parks Foundation was established in 1969 to support the East Bay Regional Park District. The Foundation�s mission is to support our Regional Parks through fundraising that provides broader public access, resource protection and preservation, education and recreational programs, and the acquisition of parklands. One of the top priorities is to ensure that underserved populations have equal access to the East Bay Regional Park District�s parks, trails, programs, and services.     * Access for All *

At the Regional Parks Foundation, we share a vision that everyone -- regardless of economic status, cultural background, or physical ability -- can enjoy the East Bay Regional Parks and the abundance of activities and programs offered by the East Bay Regional Park District. Our vision includes an environment where trails and animal habitats can be preserved and restored for our pleasure today and for the enjoyment of our grandchildren and great-grandchildren tomorrow.We believe that when people connect with nature, their lives are touched and the impact ripples through the whole community. Busy people find ways to relax and recharge. Families cherish time together hiking, swimming, and camping -- living healthy and creating memories that last a lifetime. And when new generations learn to care about plants, animals, and open spaces, they can carry on our work to preserve recreational areas for their own families and wild land that sustains native populations of deer, mountain lions, and other species.
