Harmonium's mission is "to promote self sufficiency and well-being in children, youth and adults through creative education, intervention and prevention services rooted in collaboration with neighborhoods and families."

Since 1975, Harmonium continues to make a positive impact on communities in San Diego county. One of our most recent accomplishments is the Children�s Division opening an innovative preschool within The Language Academy, a French and Spanish Immersion Magnet School. We have also partnered with San Diego Unified School District to create the Infant Toddler program located at Balboa Elementary School. In addition, a PrimeTime afterschool program was added at Rolando Park Elementary School. Next, our Youth Division held a ten-year event honoring Epicentre�s positive impact on Mira Mesa teens and young adults.  Throughout the past year, the Epicentre also collaborated with Mira Mesa High School in addressing campus gang violence issues.   Our Counseling Division received a grant to expand our Parent Partnering program in Southeastern San Diego and allows Harmonium to provide services tailored to the unique needs of transition-aged youth. Our Counseling Division also created a positivism training program that is being used to train our staff throughout our agency. Harmonium�s goals for the upcoming year include: enhancing program quality at our licensed child care locations by creating specialty centers at each site that could include sports and recreation, music & film making, educational learning centers, and dance & drama which would lead to increased enrollment. Our agency is also looking to expand our Board of Directors with specific expertise in fundraising and marketing. In addition, all divisions are looking towards more effective and efficient marketing with the capacity to utilize today�s technology.
