Junior Achievement of San Diego and Imperial Counties� mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.  We empower young people to own their economic success.

We accomplish our mission and goals through a volunteer-driven in-class curriculum for K-12 students. The programs demonstrate life skills topics including workforce preparation, mathematics, technology, financial literacy, business, citizenship, economics, entrepreneurship, ethics and character.  The curriculum is age-appropriate, interactive and engaging, and correlates with California�s school state standards.   Accomplishments from past year: 1. Reached over 41,000 K-12th grade students in San Diego County. 2. Of students reached, maintained roughly 50% of low-to-moderate income students participating in the Free-Reduced Lunch program. 3. Placed over 3,500 volunteers who contributed over 6,000 hours toward financial literacy education.   Goals for current year: 1. Reach over 46,000 K-12th grade students in San Diego and Imperial County. 2. Pilot new online financial literacy program tailored to middle-high school students. 3. Grow our high school numbers to reach more students through programs that prepare them for graduation, then higher education or career choices. 4. Work on volunteer-retention and increase stewardship to volunteers. 5. Increase our visibility and begin substantial program implementation in Imperial County.
