The Seany Foundation�s mission is to fund research to help find cures for pediatric cancers, especially sarcomas, and to improve the quality of life for children, teens, and young adults currently battling cancer.

The Seany Foundation's Outreach and Fundraising Program began in 2007. Since then, over $1,000,000 has been raised for key research and life-enhancing programs. Thanks to its donors, the Foundation is able to fund projects such as the following: Seany Teen Room. Doors opened to this special activity room for teens being treated for cancer at Rady Children�s Hospital San Diego (RCHSD) in January 2011. Art from the Heart Exhibit. Since September 2005, AFTH has showcased the talents of over 300 children with cancer at RCHSD and their siblings. The annual event allows kids to submit artwork and have it displayed during a special reception. The 2011 AFTH event was sponsored by The Seany Foundation. SOMBFAB (Some Of My Best Friends Are Bald) Glee Club. The club began in May 2011 and has 10�20 regular participants. The club helps kids grow as musical theatre lovers and people, and gives a boost in self-esteem. San Diego Junior Theatre Musical Director Richard Morrison and a Dance Teaching Artist meet with the children 20 times a year to sing and rehearse, which equates to about 30 hours away from their hospital rooms. Seany�s Sponsor-a-Kid Program. Since the program began in 2009, nearly 300 tickets have been given to kids being treated for cancer at local hospitals and their families. Ticket holders get to see a prescreening of a blockbuster movie, such as those in the Harry Potter andTwilight series, for free! Clinical Research Associate. The CRA enrolls kids with cancer into potentially lifesaving clinical trials. Without clinical trials, new therapies and cures may never be found. The CRA we fund enrolls 5�10 kids in clinical trials each month and oversees about 10 trials at a time.  Pediatric Oncology Fellowship Program. This program supports fellows at UCSD Department of Pediatrics and RCHSD as they work on cutting-edge childhood cancer   research. Fellows we've helped fund have made important findings to be tested in clinical trials and have been published.
