Brother Lawrence Dining Community (BLDC) is a non-profit, California public benefit corporation. Our purpose and objective is to contribute to a solution to homelessness by addressing specific dietary needs of selected clients, providing free nutritious meals to small groups of destitute and/or homeless persons living in San Francisco. Activities shall include but not be limited to the following: Providing free nutritious meals daily for a defined period of weeks Educating the clients to the benefits of healthy foods Teaching clients how to shop for, prepare, and cook healthy food Providing for assessment and transition to a lifestyle of healthy eating
