OUR MISSION The Center for Digital Archaeology (CoDA) is a team of experienced scholars and professionals from UC Berkeley who believe in the value of using digital technologies for the study and preservation of our cultural heritage. We develop data-driven digital products and educational programs to support organizations interested in the creation, management, and publishing of digital data and rich media. CoDA drives development and adoption of digital heritage solutions, emphasizing the practical, the doable, and the achievable for practitioners of our field with as little reliance on enterprise-level specialists as possible. CoDA is dedicated to creating and leveraging state of the art digital heritage management technologies in order to document and share our worldwide cultural heritage. CoDA offers the tools, methods, and training resources to accelerate the adoption of effective digital documentation practices by cultural heritage institutions and professionals. OUR VISION CoDA recognizes the unique challenges digital heritage presents to human history in the 21st century and addresses all those who are not afraid of going beyond the limits of empirical evidence to create engaging productions. We want educators and professionals in the humanities to be able to think for themselves, taking full advantage of todays digital revolution.
