Discovery Science Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to the mission of educating young minds, assisting educators to teach science and technology in an increasingly compelling manner, and increasing public understanding and appreciation of science, technology, engineering and math through interactive exhibits and programs. At a time when national studies and student assessments reveal that U.S. students are falling behind in math and science achievement, Discovery Science Center's hands-on, interactive exhibits and programs are an effective means for engaging students in learning by doing. Volunteers and staff who are passionate about learning are eager to "talk through" challenges and guide students to discovering solutions. Lessons from the classroom are enhanced and extended by Discovery Science Center's high quality programming, all of which is aligned with California Science Content Standards.
