With pride, dedication, and determination the American Legion Karl Ross Post 16 supports Veterans and the Community at large. Advocating for education, youth outreach, senior outreach, and Veteran support. We will strive to bring comradery, unity, and Americanism to our community. Bringing together all organizations, for profit and not for profit, to support the people of the San Joaquin County.
In the San Joaquin County there are hundreds of homeless Veterans, hundreds of high school dropouts, and hundreds of Seniors in need of reasonable housing. The American Legion strives to serve the people most in need of outreach, advococy, and support. With small fundraisers and events, the Legion is able to generate funding to award college scholarships, assistance with rent or bills, deliver lunch to seniors, assist homeless Veterans hygiene needs and counseling. On a monthly basis the Legion educates local businesses, agencies, non-profit organizations, for profit organizations, and education institutions of our efforts and how working together can benefit themselves and our community overall. Although we can not cure all the troubles of world, we feel we can make a difference. As small or grand as it is, we take pride in all the accomplishments we have made. Measuring success for the Legion is by tracking each Veteran, youth, and senior that we have assisted.
