Our mission as a Foundation is to raise monies through grants, donations, gifts, bequests and solicitations, for the sole purpose of community education, preservation and restoration of the Madrona Marsh Preserve, located at 3201 Plaza del Amo, Torrance, CA 90503. Programs at the Madrona Marsh Nature center will also receive funding. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. The Foundation will receive, invest and utilize funds and properties acquired for the purposes of supporting staff and implementing ongoing programs and projects stated in the Madrona Marsh Preserve and Nature Center Management Plan. This plan was developed in conjunction with the City of Torrance, California and the Friends of the Madrona Marsh. It is understood that this is a dynamic document and subject to renegotiation and revision from the collaborating members. Fundraising efforts will continue and reflect any changes or alterations to the document. The Madrona Marsh Foundation will work in partnership with the City of Torrance and the Friends of the Madrona Marsh to achieve the goals stated above in this mission statement.
