Founded in February 2000, Heaven on Earth is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to improve quality of life for homeless animals, particularly those who are often overlooked because of special needs and low potential for adoption. We fulfill our mission by: * Placing homeless animals into permanent homes through our own adoption program and through our Heaven Can Wait Iso Program, which is a collaboration with other humane organizations; * Providing lifelong care for animals with low potential for adoption at our cageless sanctuary; and * Decreasing the number of homeless animals through our own spay/neuter transportation program ("SpayShip") and by providing information to the public on the importance of having their pets sterilized and referrals to assist them in doing so.
How is Heaven on Earth Society for Animals different? We believe that every life is precious. We are committed to doing our part to bring an end to the killing of healthy companion animals, community (feral) cats, as well as those who are sick or injured but could regain their health with appropriate medical intervention. And, embracing the Declaration of the No-kill Movement in the United States, we envision the day when there are no more homeless pets and when every newborn companion animal can be guaranteed a safe and loving life.
