Impact Summary from the Nonprofit LiveWell Colorado's 2012 impact include:1) Engaged 20 organizations with statewide reach in a healthy school food convening and 80 food system stakeholders in a Healthy Food Access Summit with the Colorado Food Systems Advisory Council.2) Conducted healthy school food assessments in Pueblo 60, Mesa 51, and Eagle school districts and conducted culinary workshops to increase capacity to prepare fresh food in the school lunch program, and conducted 400 school food consultations statewide.3) Invested in 23 LiveWell Communities across Colorado to strengthen resident and coalition leadership to pursue healthy eating and active living strategies at the local and regional level.4) Advance a collective, regional approach in the City and County of Denver to develop criteria for selecting healthy eating and active living strategies 4) Conducted a Day at the Capitol event to bring LiveWell Community leadership to the Colorado state capitol building to meet with state legislators to educate them on healthy eating and active leaving issues and to advance policy initiatives.
