Impact Summary from the Nonprofit Our top 5 accomplishments from the past year:1) We distributed more than 1.4 million lbs of food through our Emergency Food Assistance service. 2) 117 client households received Rental or Mortgage Assistance. 100 households received Utility Assistance.3) 307 households received Transportation Assistance, 88 households received vouchers to receive free clothing and household items from our Thrift Store at no cost. 4) 5 free health services and screenings were hosted at SCCC. Families continued to receive assistance with applying for health insurance. 34 clients received direct financial assistance with essential prescriptions. Additionally, we provided and handful of clients with copayment assistance.5) 763 households received Support Services, formerly called case management.Our specific objectives for Fiscal Year 2011-2012 are as follows:1) Continue to provide clients access to food assistance on a bi-weekly basis with the opportunity to recieve weekly food for clients enrolled in our Support Services Program. 2) Increase the average amount distributed to clients through our Rent and Mortgage Assistance service. We plan to sustain the current number of clients served, but to increase the amount given per client in order to make a more significant impact on clients housing stability. We also hope to maintain the number of clients served through our Utility Assistance service.3) Increase client awareness of public benefits availability and provide onsite assistance with applying for these benefits through our Public Benefits Assistance service. 4) Through Support Services, assist 300 families in moving from in-crisis to stable in one or several of the following areas; housing, food, childcare, income, empoyment, life skills and community support. 5) Improve the communication process in Support Services, obtaining 20% follow up rate with participants. 7) Sustain or increase all remaining services.
