Our mission is to preserve the significant open lands and diminishing natural heritage of Colorado through private and public partnerships, innovative land conservation techniques, and strategic leadershiwhile bringing a state-wide perspective based on our staff's collective 100+ years of experience.

Summary of Impact

Impact Summary from the Nonprofit Our accomplishments in 2012 included completing 18 conservation projects that permanently protect more than 36,735 acres of working agricultural lands, wildlife habitat, critical stream corrridors and beautiful scenic areas.  Our top goals in 2013 are to permanently protect another 8,000 acres; launch our Acequia Assistance Project; hire a new Director of Conservation Operations; create a new 5-year strategic plan; and renew our accreditation with the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.
