Impact Summary from the Nonprofit In 2010, we mobilized 16,852 volunteers in 1131 HOJ-managed projects with 40,551 volunteer hours to target community problem areas.  The value of service to the community was $845,488 delivered a holiday literacy experience to 6,500 kids in 12 challenged elementary schools bringing 28,000 books and 28,000 toys valued at $377,275 through our signature project - A Visit From St. Nicholas. The value of the 2,100 hours from our 600 St. Nick volunteers was $43,785 connected 3,513 unique volunteer referrals to our more than 100 nonprofit partner agencies who delivered 19,402 hours valued at $404,532 to our community improved 170 public serving organizations through our  HandsOn Projects, volunteer referrals and capacity building programs and services equipped 26 volunteer resource managers in 12 sessions with 1,092 hours of instruction and state certification in our Volunteer Management Training Series equipped 97 volunteer resource managers with 84 hours of technical training in utilizing our technology to recruit & manage their volunteers connected 122 businesses with the needs of our community, mobilizing and equipping them to participate in high impact projects equipped 22 leaders with 48 learning hours (1,056 total hours) in our Blueprint for Leadership program, an advanced learning institute on governance, financial and management oversight, fund raising and hands on responsibilities for nonprofit board members placed 18 Blueprint for Leadership graduates in one-year nonprofit board internships catalyzed and contributed $111,848 in cash donations through 285 hours of volunteer service in support of 37 nonprofit agencies through the annual Hope Fund honored 11 individuals and 7 groups of individuals, representing more than 1,000 community volunteers for their outstanding service to the community at our annual Celebrate!GOOD event.  More than 900 people attended this inspirational event and 62 volunteers gave 248 hours of service to make it a success.
