Impact Summary from the Nonprofit In 2011-12, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida distributed more than 36 million pounds of food and grocery items, the largest single year distribution in our history. Our Benefits Connection Program, a mobile Food Stamp outreach program, assisted applicants in securing more than $1.7 million in monthly benefits. In 2012-13, we anticipate facing the continued challenge of providing sufficient food resources for the people that continue to be impacted by unemployment, underemployment, and the overall slow economy.
