LLI will offer affordable non-credit learning opportunities to adults and organizations of Charlotte County seeking personal and professional development in topics, venues and methods that will enrich, enlighten and benefit their lives. Our alliance with Edison State College enhances learning on the attractive Edison State College, Charlotte campus in Punta Gorda. Where this is not possible and whenever feasible, we will take LLI to our members and students at their locations.
Impact Summary from the Nonprofit 2012-2013 Accomplishments: 1. Over 300 registrations for the Winter/Spring 2013 courses, lectures and films. 2. 250 visitors attended LLI's first annual Health Fair on April 6, 2013, which included 32 health care practitioners, wellness organizations, clubs and vendors and provided health screenings. 3. Implemented new annual film series with lecture/discussion. Current Year Goals: 1. Obtain additional funding for operational costs, publicity and marketing 2. On-line registration 3. Add credit card payment option to registration 4. Update office equipment including computer, printer, and software 5. Implement new course offerings for people between jobs and small businesses needing personal or professional development
