The Mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We are open to all young people aged 6-18 and never turn away a child due to the financial circumstances of the family.
Impact Summary from the Nonprofit The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County seek to provide a world-class Club Experience in each of their four Boys & Girls Clubs. We strive to ensure that success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle. Among our many programs and activities are: Project Learn, an educational enhancement program;SMART Moves, to avoid drugs, alcohol, and tobacco;Triple Play, focusing on wellness of the mind, body, and soul;Money Matters, teaching basic financial literacy;Culinary Arts, for planning and preparing healthy meals and snacks;National Fine Arts Program: drawing, painting, sculpture, collage;Club Tech, teaching basic computer and Internet skills;Digital Arts, for creating digital photography, websites, and artwork;Torch Club, a service club for young teens;Keystone Club, a service club for senior teens.We will touch the lives of more than 4000 young people aged 6-18 this year. Our goal is to eventually reach 10,000 young people in Sarasota County.
