THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A PERMANENT MEMORIAL TO THE NISEI VETERANS AND TO THE AMERICANS OF JAPANESE ANCESTRY. THE PURPOSE OF FACILITIES IS TO RESERVE, PERPETUATE AND DISSEMINATE THE HISTORY, CULTURE AND ARTS OF THE JAPANESE IN HAWAII AND NISEI WORLD WAR II VETERANS, TO PROVIDE FOR THE YOUTH AND ELDERLY, AND TO ENCOURAGE THE FLOURISHING OF OTHER ETHNIC CULTURES.
