Our mission is: To provide comprehensive reproductive health care services in settings which preserve the essential privacy, dignity and rights of each individual; To advocate public policies which guarantee these rights and ensure access to quality health care; To provide educational programs that promotes understanding of individual and societal implications of human sexuality and lead to informed, responsible decision-making.
Impact Summary from the Nonprofit In addition to the thousands of patients served with basic and essential reproductive health care, PPILs Community Education department provided nearly 2,500 education sessions in 2009 reaching 24,000 ethnically and economically diverse individuals, including adolescents, seniors and members of the clergy. Our Public Policy department has mobilized 52,000 PPIL Action Network members that stand behind our work and mission. Ninety percent of our services are primary and preventive - STI testing and treatment, a full range of family planning options, and cervical and breast cancer prevention are the most common services we provide.
