The mission of Preston High School is to empower young women as they discover their own potential and value through a broad and challenging education, active participation in community and a commitment to Christian service, so that they may become compassionate leaders for change in the world.

Preston High School is proud to report that it continues to be a leader in Catholic education in the Bronx's. While the downturn in the nation's economy has presented challenges for tutition-driven schools such as PHS and for many of our students' families, PHS has been able to continue its tradition of excellence.   Our students are bright, have great promise, and work hard to achieve their goals. 100% of 2010 PHS graduates will go on to institutions of higher learning. 63% of the 136 graduates in the Class of 2010 have collectively earned over $10 million in college scholarships. Recent graduates have received acceptances to Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Fordham, George Washington University, Georgetown, Harvard, Holy Cross, Loyola, MIT, NYU, Penn State, Stanford, Trinity, Tulane, University of Virginia, Vanderbilt, and Yale, just to name a few, and many are attending on full scholarships. We feel that the personal interaction among students and faculty and the atmosphere of respect and compassion at PHS is the main reason for this success rate.   Looking foward to the 2011 - 2012 academic years PHS has committed to operating without any budgetary increases. We remain determined to meet the challenges of our current economic climate with creativity and resolve. We are thankful for the continued support of our dedicated Board, administration, faculty, staff, volunteers, alumnae, friends, families and benefactors.   Our fundraising goals will be agressive as we seek to develop a broader base of support from individual donors, foundations and sponsorships. We will continue to develop strategies to tell the compeling stories about PHS that will increase donations to the Fund for PHS, capital project, and most importantly for tuition assistance.
