Mission Statement: �Preserving our heritage and rights through mentorship and leadership for a better tomorrow� Vision NACOPRW provides training, mentorship and leadership development at the local and national level through workshops and institutes during the annual convention, and through chapter programs. We preserve our Puerto Rican and Latino heritage through cultural activities and events. We seek justice and give voice to the preservation of civil, health, educational and other rights through the dissemination of information, networking, collaboration and advocacy with other national and local groups, and through education, celebration, community and civil involvement

In recent months we were very active in securing donations to assist in the Hurricane Sandy effort. We were able to provide blankets, walkie-talkies and portable stoves to victims and volunteers. Our efforts are continuing in this area since there is still much need for the victims of �Super Storm Sandy�. On April 6, 2013 we honored 3 exemplary women at a Brunch held at Giovanni�s Restaurant in the Bronx. June 7 � 9, 2013 we will host a quarterly conference in NYC with workshops and events on a variety of topics covering education, finance and health. In May we launched the Alice Cardona Cancer Awareness program with a variety of programs including free mammography exams, nutrition classes, healthy cooking demonstrations, bi-lingual cancer awareness programs.
