The mission of Centre Foundation is to improve life in Centre County by providing enduring support to community charities from the invested gifts of visionary donors.
Impact Summary from the Nonprofit In 2011, Centre Foundation celebrated its 30th anniversary of "Sharing the Wealth; Shaping the Future" in Centre County. The Foundation's accomplishments include distributing millions of dollars to hundreds of local nonprofit organizations for individual programs that improve the community, as well as committing funds and support to large-scale projects, such as the creation of Smart Start - Centre County, the installation of Wi-Fi Internet access in the county's libraries, and the 211 non-emergency services phone line. In 2012, the Centre Foundation held a first-of-its-kind event in Centre County: An online giving event called Centre Gives, featuring a $100,000 match from the Foundation. The event raised more than $415,000 in just 36 hours!
