Their Mission Statement

The mission of the Nittany Valley Symphony is (1) to provide the community with the opportunity to hear local concerts of symphonic music on a regular basis, (2) to provide opportunities for members of the community to participate and perform in a permanent Symphony, (3) to cooperate with other organizations having similar purposes in the community, (4) to enrich and support an evident educational climate, and (5) to promote a collaborative spirit between musicians and audience that recognizes music as a cultural wellspring.

Summary of Impact

Impact Summary from the Nonprofit During this unstable economy and with so many orchestras from around the country either filing for bankrupsy or just closing, we have been fortunate to maintain our seven-concert full season of music, and this year improving our audience size versus last season. Our goal for the upcoming season is to provide this community with a full compliment of symphonic concerts both classical and pops oriented. We also want to enlarge and diversify our audience.
